Demon Hunter issues update
Seattle metallers DEMON HUNTER have issued the following update:
"Our deepest sympathies and sincerest condolences go out to the friends and family of Desirae Piercefield, who we recently learned passed on from this earth to Heaven above in a heartfelt email from her loving husband, Michael.
We had the blessing of meeting Desirae in Denver during our recent tour, and spend some time talking with her. At that point, she had been struggling with cancer for a while, and was so sick that she suspected that she probably wouldn't be attending our show. Thankfully, Desirae fought hard and was able to make it out to see the show and show us her DH tattoo. We had a blast talking with Desirae and her loved ones after the show.
Desirae's family and friends will be in our prayers. We thank them, and Desirae for their amazing support for Demon Hunter. They have all helped us further understand why we do what we do.
If you own the 45 Days documentary, you can hear Desirae speak at the 1:28:10 mark, and see footage of her at the 1:28:50 mark."
As previously reported, Demon Hunter will release a new live album called Live In Nashville on January 27th. It will feature 14 live cuts from the Storm The Gates Of Hell Tour stop in Nashville, TN and will be available in stores and online.
The band checked in with the following update:
"Hunters! Demon Hunter will perform a special acoustic set on March 14th in Quakerstown, PA at Benner Hall. This will be a full set! We have only done two acoustic performances prior to this one and this will be much longer. It will be a full show complete with local opening acts.
As of right now this is the ONLY show we have booked in all of 2009. There is no plans for a US tour this year although there may be some other appearances including our first international shows. But as of right now this is IT! You can get all information here.
And don't forget the Live In Nashville CD is in stores next week!
To clarify: this is the CD version / audio of one of the two DVDs in 45 Days. The CD that is inside 45 Days is the soundtrack / score to the documentary and two bonus tracks, it is not a live CD and it is not the same as Live in Nashville."
