Godsmack Unveils New Concert Film ‘Live At Mohegan Sun’ Documenting Final Tour Milestone
Hard rock titans Godsmack have officially announced the upcoming release of a new concert film, Live At Mohegan Sun. Capturing a high-octane performance from the New England legends, the film is set to arrive on May 1 and will be available in multiple formats, including Blu-ray/CD and a 2LP vinyl edition.
The footage was recorded on October 26, 2024, at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. The show served as a poignant homecoming for the band—Sully Erna, Tony Rombola, Robbie Merrill, and Shannon Larkin—during their "Best of Times" world tour. With over 20 million records sold and a legacy spanning decades, the concert was framed as a celebration of the "Godsmack brothers" and their enduring bond with their fans.
Fans can expect a career-spanning setlist featuring the band’s biggest hits, alongside their signature spectacle: the "Batalla de los Tambores" (Battle of the Drums). This iconic dual-drum solo features frontman Sully Erna and drummer Shannon Larkin facing off in a high-energy percussive showdown that has become a staple of their live performances.
The project was directed by Daniel E. Catullo III and produced by Sully Erna himself, ensuring that the raw energy and emotional weight of the night were captured faithfully.
While Godsmack released what they described as their final studio album, Lighting Up The Sky, in 2023, the band has continued to dominate the stage. Live At Mohegan Sun stands as a definitive document of this era, immortalizing one of the most significant performances in their storied career.
