Metal Blade Records has officially announced the re-signing of Massachusetts metalcore titans UNEARTH.

Metal Blade Records has officially announced the re-signing of Massachusetts metalcore titans UNEARTH. This reunion marks a "coming home" for the band, returning to the label that hosted their most definitive era during the 2000s.

Widely regarded as standard-bearers of American metalcore, UNEARTH has spent nearly three decades blending European death metal melodicism with the raw aggression of American thrash and hardcore. Their initial tenure with Metal Blade (2004–2011) produced genre-defining staples such as The Oncoming Storm, III: In The Eyes Of Fire, and The March.

While the band continued to release acclaimed material through partners like Century Media and MNRK Heavy (formerly eOne)—including their most recent LP, The Wretched; The Ruinous—vocalist Trevor Phipps expressed that returning to Metal Blade felt like the natural next step for their legacy.

"Getting another shot at working with Metal Blade Records feels nothing short of coming home," says Phipps. "We truly got our best chance at making a life of creating music and touring during our first run with Metal Blade from 2004 to 2011. Working with so many familiar faces we trust and appreciate is something we wholeheartedly welcome. The music we're cooking is as heavy and boundary-pushing as we’ve ever been, and we look forward to sharing it with you all in 2027."

Guitarist Peter Layman echoed the sentiment, noting that the writing process for their next effort is already well underway. "After fifteen years apart, we’re back with Metal Blade... they gave us our start; now, they’re part of our future," Layman added.

In addition to the label news, UNEARTH has overhauled its professional team, announcing a new management partnership with AISAmusic and signing with Cobra Agency for European and Asian booking.

Michael Faley, A&R at Metal Blade Records, welcomed the band back, stating: "It is an honor to have UNEARTH back in the Metal Blade family. Reconnecting with them now, at a time when both the band and the label have grown so much, is a massive win. We've always believed in their vision... A new Storm is coming!"

Fans can expect the first fruits of this renewed partnership to arrive in 2027.
