MICK SWEDA Says Latest BULLETBOYS Reunion 'Has Been Really Great': 'I Love Playing With These Guys'

Mick Sweda praises the current BULLETBOYS reunion, enjoying the collaborative spirit and looking forward to future shows and potential new recordings.

Mick Sweda, guitarist for BULLETBOYS, recently discussed the band's latest reunion in an interview with The Heavy Metal Kitchen. He described the experience as very positive, noting the chemistry between the classic lineup members—himself, vocalist Marq Torien, bassist Lonnie Vencent, and drummer Jimmy D'Anda—remains strong despite years apart.

Sweda explained that the reunion talks began late in the previous year, leading to several gigs and plans for a summer tour throughout the United States. He emphasized how the members quickly reconnected both musically and personally, enjoying the humor and camaraderie that initially brought them together.

The guitarist also touched on the songwriting process, highlighting the individual creativity each member brings to the group. He mentioned there is ongoing conversation about possibly recording new material, including unreleased demos from the band's past, though the current focus is on live performances and regaining their momentum as a band.

Sweda explained that previous roadblocks in the band's relationships have improved significantly, with all members now engaging in mature and civil discussions. This positive shift in dynamics played a major role in his decision to return and participate actively in the reunion.

The original BULLETBOYS lineup last performed together in December 2025 at venues including the Arcada Theatre in Illinois and the Whisky A Go Go in California. Since their formation in 1988, BULLETBOYS have been recognized for their blend of hard rock and blues influences, distinguishing them from other glam metal acts of their era.
