RICH WARD Says Next FOZZY Single Will 'Probably Be Released' In March

FOZZY plans to release their new single in March 2026, prioritizing quality singles over full albums.

FOZZY guitarist Rich Ward discussed the band's recent single "Fall In Line," released in April 2025, and mentioned their strategic shift to releasing singles instead of full albums. This approach allows the band to concentrate more time and effort on individual songs amidst members' busy schedules and changing music consumption trends.

Ward highlighted that their 2022 album "Boombox" involved extensive work on many songs that ultimately did not get released as singles, which was discouraging for lead vocalist Chris Jericho. Consequently, the band decided to focus on creating and releasing songs one at a time to maintain high quality and relevance.

The new single, with vocals recently recorded by Jericho, is expected to come out around March 2026. The release was initially hoped to coincide with FOZZY’s upcoming UK tour, but production and scheduling factors are influencing the timeline. They continue to work with producer Johnny Andrews, known for his work with prominent rock bands.

Ward further explained that the songwriting process has matured over the years from an emotional outlet to a more thoughtful and deliberate craft. This evolution, coupled with fan expectations, motivates FOZZY to deliver well-crafted songs rather than multiple tracks released at once.

Besides recording activities, FOZZY has planned the "Twisted Faith Tour 2026," supporting their festival appearances and featuring bands such as Flaw, Spineshank, and Who On Earth. The band’s lineup currently includes Chris Jericho, Rich Ward, Grant Brooks, Billy Grey, and P.J. Farley.
