Brazil-based modern thrash metal band Nervosa has unveiled their upcoming album, Slave Machine, scheduled for release on April 3 through Napalm Records. This marks their sixth studio effort and follows their recent work with Prika Amaral taking on vocal duties as well as guitar.
The album features twelve tracks that blend old-school thrash metal elements with modern influences. Produced again by Martin Furia, known for his work with German metal veterans Destruction, Slave Machine aims to enhance the band's signature aggressive sound while incorporating melodic and alternative elements.
Alongside the album announcement, Nervosa released a music video for the title track, showcasing a faster tempo and some unexpected musical shifts, highlighting the band's evolving style. The band describes the song as a layered, expressive statement about societal constraints.
Slave Machine will be released in various formats, including limited edition vinyl and cassette versions, as well as digital and CD options. The album continues Nervosa’s trajectory of high-energy thrash performances and aims to strengthen their position in the metal scene worldwide.
The lineup for the album includes Prika Amaral on vocals and guitar, Helena Kotina on guitar, Hel Pyre and Emmelie Herwegh handling bass duties, and Michaela Naydenova on drums.
