BLACK CROWES Share Behind-The-Scenes Footage From Making Of 'Profane Prophecy' Music Video

The Black Crowes unveil behind-the-scenes content for 'Profane Prophecy' video and preview their new album 'A Pound Of Feathers'.

The Black Crowes have shared exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the production of the music video for their song "Profane Prophecy." The video features seven devils symbolizing the seven deadly sins disrupting a stylized, theatrical world characterized by stark morality and vivid surreal set designs.

"Profane Prophecy" is featured on the band's forthcoming album "A Pound Of Feathers," set for release on March 13 through Silver Arrow Records. Produced by Jay Joyce, the album expands on The Black Crowes' blend of blues, soul, and rock, marking a significant evolution in their four-decade-long career.

Vocalist Chris Robinson described the album's creative process as swift and instinctual, praising guitarist Rich Robinson's spontaneous contributions. Rich Robinson emphasized that the album represents a return to the group's roots while infusing fresh energy and a sharper edge to their sound.

Recorded in Nashville, "A Pound Of Feathers" highlights a mix of powerful rhythms and soulful songwriting, wholly written by the Robinson brothers. The album balances emotional depth with dynamic rock elements and continues the band’s legacy following their critically acclaimed 2024 release "Happiness Bastards," which received a Grammy nomination.

The track "Profane Prophecy" introduces the album’s themes with playful yet profound lyrics, setting the tone for songs exploring personal reckoning and confronting one’s flaws. "A Pound Of Feathers" is poised to reinforce The Black Crowes’ standing as influential figures in modern rock music.
