SABATON Postpones North American Tour: 'Health Must Come First'

SABATON delays North American tour due to bassist's health concerns, aiming to reschedule soon.

Swedish metal group SABATON announced the postponement of their upcoming North American tour originally set to start on February 9, 2026, due to medical issues affecting their bassist, Pär Sundström. Sundström is dealing with inflammation in his arms and has been advised by doctors to rest in order to properly heal.

The tour was planned to cover major U.S. and Canadian cities including Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, and Vancouver, with supporting acts POP EVIL and WINGS OF STEEL. The band expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to their fans and emphasized that health must take precedence over live performances.

SABATON is currently aiming to reschedule the tour dates and has asked fans to hold on to their tickets, with official notifications to be sent via the original points of sale. The band also clarified that their summer European shows will continue as planned and are not affected by this postponement.

The North American leg was part of SABATON's ongoing "The Legendary Tour" supporting their eleventh studio album, "Legends," released in October 2025. The album explores historical figures through a blend of melodic metal and storytelling, continuing SABATON's tradition of focusing on themes of history and heroism.

Since their debut in 2005, SABATON has garnered significant international success, including multiple awards and high chart placements. The band continues to maintain a strong global fanbase, bolstered by their history-themed music and dynamic live shows.
