BLACK SABBATH's Final Chapter Almost Written: The Untold Story Behind the Lost Album

By Jason •
Andrew Watt reveals the heartbreaking truth of a potential BLACK SABBATH reunion album that never came to be.
It was one of those conversations you can't forget, but it ended with Bill letting us know he just couldn't do it. And that was that. A beautifully long email went out to the original members, which was a surreal moment for me, being included in that circle. It was a sad realization that without Bill, we couldn't move forward,” Watt explained.

Despite the disappointment, Watt praised Iommi, calling him a great friend and mentor, and reflected on the deep bond developed through their work on Osbourne’s solo records. The producer also hinted at unreleased Ozzy tracks, acknowledging their existence but shrouding them in mystery. “There are songs that we made for specific reasons. They’re tough for me to revisit,” he admitted, leaving fans to wonder what treasures remain in the vault.

As for the future, Watt shared a poignant memory of his last moments with Ozzy before the 'Back To The Beginning' concert, where they shared curry and reminisced over the music they had created. “It was a beautiful experience. Those were the final moments I got to spend with him, and I carry that with me every day,” he said, echoing the sentiment of loss that hangs heavy in the air for fans and musicians alike.
