THE PRETTY RECKLESS Unleash 'About You' (Bonus Version) with Grohl's Fiery Touch
In a bold move that further cements their status in the rock pantheon, THE PRETTY RECKLESS has unleashed a revamped version of 'About You' from their critically acclaimed fifth studio album, 'Dear God'. This bonus version brings the thunder with none other than Dave Grohl of FOO FIGHTERS fame, who slams the drums, shreds the guitar, and lends his unmistakable backing vocals alongside Pat Smear's electrifying guitar riffs. This collaboration isn't just a casual jam; it's a sonic explosion that fans have been craving.
Singer Taylor Momsen shared her enthusiasm for the track, stating, "'About You' is one of my favorite songs on the record, so I wanted to do something special." Calling on her friends in the rock elite, she described the studio sessions as nothing short of magical, proving once again that the camaraderie of rock 'n' roll can turn a good song into a great one.
This release follows the monumental success of 'Dear God', an album that has already etched its name into the annals of rock history. With the single 'When I Wake Up' extending their record-breaking streak to nine No. 1s on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, THE PRETTY RECKLESS is redefining what it means to be a female-led act in a genre often dominated by testosterone. Produced by Momsen, Ben Phillips, and Jonathan Wyman, this album delves deep into themes of vulnerability and intensity, showcasing the band’s growth and fearless creative spirit.
After completing a grueling North American leg of their 'Dear God' tour and sharing the stage with rock titans like AC/DC, THE PRETTY RECKLESS recently treated fans to an intimate set at the Grammy Museum. Here, they peeled back the layers of their creative process, offering a rare glimpse into the minds behind the music. Additionally, Momsen has been busy reuniting with SOUNDGARDEN for breathtaking performances, including a tribute at the Power To The People festival, further solidifying her status as a rock powerhouse.
With the European leg of their tour on the horizon, THE PRETTY RECKLESS shows no signs of slowing down. Their relentless drive and commitment to crafting powerful music ensures that they will continue to dominate the rock scene. As they prepare to hit the road again, fans can expect nothing less than electrifying performances from this record-breaking, platinum-selling band.
