EVANESCENCE Unleashes Riveting Music Video for 'Who Will You Follow'
EVANESCENCE has just dropped the official music video for their latest single, "Who Will You Follow," a track that delivers an emotional punch and a stark commentary on our digital age. Directed by the visionary Jensen Noen, the video combines striking visuals with a powerful performance, exploring the pervasive influence of technology and the chaos of misinformation that plagues our society. The lyrics serve as a stark reminder of the necessity to seek authenticity in a world where the truth feels increasingly distorted.
This new single has already made waves, becoming the fastest-moving rock radio track in EVANESCENCE's storied career and marking the band's first-ever No. 1 on Billboard's Hard Rock Song chart. Co-written and produced by Zakk Cervini (known for his work with BAD OMENS, YUNGBLUD, and BRING ME THE HORIZON) alongside Jordan Fish (BRING ME THE HORIZON, Poppy), "Who Will You Follow" is set to be a standout on their upcoming album, "Sanctuary," which is slated for release on June 5. The album promises a mix of tracks produced by Cervini and Fish as well as contributions from Nick Raskulinecz (KORN, FOO FIGHTERS).
Fans will have multiple options to get their hands on "Sanctuary"; it will be available as a digital album, standard CD, deluxe CD, and a limited-edition box set. Vinyl enthusiasts can look forward to a double vinyl release on September 4. The deluxe edition, exclusive to the EVANESCENCE store, includes a Blu-ray featuring their "Live In São Paulo" concert, a behind-the-scenes documentary from their 2023 South America tour, and an in-depth look at the making of the "Who Will You Follow" video.
EVANESCENCE's powerhouse vocalist, Amy Lee, expressed her pride in this project, stating, "This album is over three years in the making, and finally listening back to it all at once, about to release it to the world, I am so damn proud of every second of it. It's overwhelming. Working on it has been my outlet for so much that feels wrong and out of control, and a place to ignite hope through the power of music and connection… good thing we have the tour all lined up or I wouldn't know what to do with myself now! I've been completely obsessed. I'm dying for the fans to hear this."
Following the album's release, EVANESCENCE is set to embark on a world tour starting June 11, hitting stages across North America and Europe. They will be joined by special guests SPIRITBOX and NOVA TWINS for the North American leg, with Poppy supporting the European dates, and K.Flay opening for the U.K. shows. K.Flay also features on EVANESCENCE's previous single, "Fight Like A Girl," and will perform at their highly anticipated Red Rocks Amphitheatre concert.
In a commendable move, EVANESCENCE has partnered with PLUS1, ensuring that $1/£1/€1 from every ticket sold will support organizations providing humanitarian aid and medical relief globally.
With their recent singles, "Fight Like A Girl" and "Afterlife," receiving acclaim from both fans and critics, EVANESCENCE is undeniably in a thrilling phase of their career. The latter track achieved the No. 1 position on both Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart and Mediabase's Active Rock Radio chart in the U.S. and Canada, reaffirming the band's enduring impact on the rock scene.
EVANESCENCE's legacy is cemented; their debut album "Fallen" remains a cultural touchstone, selling over 17 million copies globally and earning multiple Grammy Awards. As they prepare for this new chapter with "Sanctuary," fans can expect nothing less than a transformative experience.
