Vanguard Working On New Material
Finnish dark metallers VANGUARD, who parted ways with Armageddon Music last October, have issued the following update:
"We're recording another demo of the new songs to confirm the record companies we have already started to speak with, and we plan to have it finished, at least the recordings, by the end
of the week. We will be posting at least clips from the new material on our website, of course. Two more songs will be recorded now, in addition to the three slightly older ones you can find at the media-section. We're hoping to get a lot done this week, so that maybe next week could bring us some answers about the future and the time tables of the recording of the second album. But we'll know more in a few days, and will be updating the blog as soon as we know something new!"
As previously reported, Vanguard won a contest held by Metal Hammer Magazine and Armageddon Music at the Wacken Open Air festival in 2004 and released it's debut record, Succumbra, in the summer of 2005. Since then Vanguard has written new material for their next album and performed live gigs, for example a club gig at the finnish Tuska Open Air festival and again in Germany at the Wacken Open Air festival. You can check out their new material and promo pictures from their website, www.vanguard.fi, and their MySpace page, www.myspace.com/vanguardfinland.
