Aria Guitars Revives Cliff Burton Signature Bass for 40th Anniversary

The iconic Aria Pro II Cliff Burton Signature Bass returns in a new edition, honoring the METALLICA bassist's legacy.

Aria Guitars of Japan has announced the reissue of the Aria Pro II Cliff Burton Signature Bass to commemorate 40 years since the METALLICA bassist’s passing. The reissued model, to be unveiled at the NAMM convention in Anaheim, California, aims to celebrate Burton’s influential tone and musicianship while appealing to a contemporary audience. Originally launched in 2013 with approval from Burton's family and METALLICA, the bass faithfully replicates the Black 'N Gold I instrument played by Burton during his tenure with the band. Crafted with precise attention to detail, the instrument features a neck-through maple and walnut neck, rosewood fretboard with distinctive inlays, an alder body, and custom gold-plated hardware, all designed to echo the original’s design and sound qualities.
