EXODUS PREPARES TO DISH OUT THE PUNISHMENT ON UPCOMING HATEBREED TOUR
With a roadshow destined to go down in recent history as the one with the highest BBPM (Blast Beats Per Minute) rate, San Francisco's veteran thrashers EXODUS have proudly joined the "Monsters Of Mayhem" tour which launched on September 4th at Jaxx in West Springfield, Virginia. This will be EXODUS' final tour in support of 2005's highly acclaimed Shovel Headed Kill Machine. Founding member & lead guitarist Gary Holt checked in from his Northern California home prior to packing his bags and heading out on the band's latest excursion:
"Let me just say how fired up we are to be taking part in the 'Monsters Of Mayhem' tour. To have the opportunity to tour with Hatebreed, Napalm Death, The Black Dahlia Murder, Despised Icon, and First Blood is just awesome. A HUGE thanks to Jamey Jasta and all from Hatebreed for hooking us up with the chance to crush some people who might not have ever seen us before. I fully plan on hurting somebody! Hope to see you there. Let the mayhem begin!"
With an all-star line-up that features the raw, heart-racing guitar riffs of thrash guitar icon Gary Holt & veteran six-stringer Lee Altus (Heathen, ex-Die Krupps), the furious abandon of former Slayer/Systematic/Testament/Forbidden drummer Paul Bostaph's breakneck double-bass beats, the thunderous pull of Jack Gibson's precise bass work, and the cholera-infested vocals of Rob Dukes, EXODUS' attitude-driven sound is carried out with the brutality of military vengeance. "Standard metal sounds like love songs compared to the musical violence of EXODUS," stated DRUM! Magazine, and once you experience the band live, you'll realize that no truer words could have been spoken.
