INTO ETERNITY Drummer Jim Austin To Perform With Band On Gigantour

By jason

Canada's Into Eternity is thrilled to announce that longtime recording drummer Jim Austin will be joining them on their 2006 Gigantour dates. Not able to tour with the band for their five 2005 North American tours, Austin is ecstatic to be able to perform with the band for this run of dates. "It's been two years since I left the Into Eternity camp - and when I was asked to record the fourth album, The Scattering Of Ashes, I was truly excited! It was great to play a few live shows with them again at New England Hardcore Festival and opening for Gamma Ray. Scattering Of Ashes is the most challenging album to date and is definitely my best foot forth, drumming wise. I'm also extremely excited to be able to join the Gigantour with some of my favorite bands. Just to share the stage with Megadeth is an honor I am seriously losing sleep over every night that passes by - as the shows come closer."

Last week the first single, "Severe Emotional Distress," from the band's forthcoming album was premiered on Gigantour's MySpace page here and later posted on Gigantour's website here. With more than 20,000 listens, the song is a definite success for Into Eternity. Set for release on Oct. 3, The Scattering Of Ashes has already been described as "a landmark triumph" by Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles, and more colorfully by vocalist Stu Block as "over the top Metal Madness." Mixed and mastered by Andy Sneap (Killswitch Engage, Arch Enemy) the new album's clear production brings forward their ingenious multi-leveled musical dynamics and fearless experimentation with style and genre.
