Hammerfall to return to North America

Dark Tranquillity In North America, the arrival of spring will be celebrated with the epic return of Sweden's templars of steel, HAMMERFALL! Touring the U.S. and Canada in support of their Billboard charting 2009 album, No Sacrifice, No Victory (#38 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart), the 27-show trek is set to launch in West Springfield, Virginia on March 5th with the finale planned for April 8th in Houston, Texas. Powerglove will be opening for the first 18 dates on the tour; Los Angeles' Echoes Of Eternity will open the remainder of the tour following the Hollywood show. Dates are below.

This will be HAMMERFALL's first North American tour with new guitarist Pontus Norgren and new bassist Fredrik Larsson (an original band member who played on their 1997 debut, Glory To The Brave). Exclusive pre-sale tickets for the tour are available online at www.EnterTheVault.com through November 24th. On November 25th, tickets go on sale through all normal ticketing outlets.

HAMMERFALL reached a career-crowning achievement this past March when No Sacrifice, No Victory attained Gold status in their home country - debuting at #2 on the Swedish album charts and remaining in the Top 10 for four weeks. Other European chart positions for their latest album include: Germany #7; Greece #10, Switzerland #20; England #21; Austria #25; Czech Republic #33; Norway #46; Belgium #87; France #95.

Known for dedicating themselves to preserving the genre of traditional heavy metal as inspired by metal's "golden era," HAMMERFALL was founded in 1993 by Dronjak and drummer Jesper Strömblad (In Flames) in Gothenberg, Sweden. Drinking heavily from the well of high-octane twin-guitar work, clean vocal stylings, and classic-styled on-stage wardrobe, HAMMERFALL use the storytelling tradition to tell tales of honor & victory and to that end, band members have collaborated with the likes of Swedish Olympic athletes to the Swedish National Symphony Orchestra.
