Tennessee's EPOCH OF UNLIGHT have been added to the lineup of OHIO DEATHFEST 2005, bringing their unique brand of Black Thrash to one of the most extreme music festivals in the US.
Having recently released The Continuum Hypothesis, a masterpiece of blackened thrash metal with subtle, deathly overtones, EPOCH OF UNLIGHT will bring their blasting attack to this event with a furiously potent degree of otherworldly force. OHIO DEATHFEST 2005 will take place at the PHANTASY CONCERT CLUB in Lakewood, Ohio on June 24th and 25th. Other acts slated to appear include Relapse recording artists ORIGIN, who will headline the entire event, Century Media recording artists FLESHGRIND, Moribund Recording Artists SUMMON (who are fresh from a European Tour with GOD DETHRONED), New York's blasting death metal machine PYREXIA, MORTAL DECAY, PROPHECY and the MEAT SHITS. This extreme form of entertainment, with themes of horror and the macabre has been enjoying a definite resurgence as of late, with recent books such as Albert Mudrian's CHOOSING DEATH and prominent print publications such as METAL MANIACS and REVOLVER paying particular heed to the intense musical movement.
