Steel Panther Unleashes New Album: Spring 2027 Release Confirmed!
In a recent chat on The Mighty VH podcast with Tommy London and Tor, Michael Starr, the charismatic frontman of STEEL PANTHER, dropped the bombshell that new music is on the horizon. The yet-untitled album is not just a figment of rock dreams; it’s already been mastered, and the band is currently knee-deep in artwork creation. Fans can expect the new record to hit the streets in spring 2027, with some tantalizing singles set to tease our ears as early as February.
Back in May, the band tantalized fans with their first original tune in three years, “The Mother's Day Song,” marking their debut under the Frontiers Music Srl label. This cheeky homage to THE BEATLES' iconic 1960s appearance on “The Ed Sullivan Show” was just a taste of what’s to come from these glam metal jesters. As they gear up for their next chapter, the anticipation is palpable.
Last year, STEEL PANTHER ventured into the hallowed halls of Dave Grohl's Studio 606, joined by the ever-reliable producer Jay Ruston, to lay down the tracks for this new offering. This follows the release of their previous album, “On The Prowl,” which hit the scene in February 2023, continuing their legacy of unapologetic, raucous rock.
It’s worth noting that their classic debut, “Feel The Steel,” was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry in October 2024, surpassing 100,000 sales in the UK. Celebrating this milestone, they unleashed the “Feel The Steel - 15th Anniversary Edition” on November 15, 2024, complete with exclusive tracks that will make die-hard fans salivate.
Since their transformation from METAL SKOOL in 2000, STEEL PANTHER has carved out a niche that mirrors the excess and irreverence of the '80s hair metal scene, all while serving up a hearty dose of crude humor and seductive lyrics. Their sound is a wild cocktail that mixes VAN HALEN's flair with MÖTLEY CRÜE's grit and RATT's catchy hooks, wrapped in a package that's as entertaining as it is provocative.
