Ice Nine Kills Unleash A Very Vicious Christmas: A Blood-Soaked Holiday Horror

By Jason •
This holiday season, prepare for a twisted take on Christmas classics from the kings of horror metal.

Brace yourselves, metalheads! Ice Nine Kills is about to drop a sinister surprise in your stocking this year with the announcement of A Very Vicious Christmas. This eight-track EP, crafted for the Halloween Horror Nights’ ‘Terror Tram starring Art the Clown’ at Universal Studios Hollywood, will bring festive terror to your ears on November 9th, courtesy of Fearless Records. Pre-saving this malevolent masterpiece is a must for those who dare to mix holiday cheer with horrific screams.

Unveiled at the band’s annual Silver Scream Con in Worcester, Massachusetts, A Very Vicious Christmas marks a chilling departure from the blood-smeared Universal backlot. Ice Nine Kills takes beloved Christmas tunes and injects them with their signature brutality, transforming joyous melodies into a cacophony of chaos and carnage.

Frontman Spencer Charnas commented on this audacious endeavor, stating, “The Ice Nine Kills A Very Vicious Christmas EP is our early holiday gift to you all. When tasked with creating a soundscape for Art the Clown’s reign of terror, we knew we had to deliver. Who better to butcher Christmas classics than us?” With lyrics like ‘oh what fun it is to die in a one hearse open sleigh,’ the band has managed to embrace the season’s spirit while gleefully tearing it apart.

Meanwhile, Art the Clown is wreaking havoc at Universal Studios, commandeering the Terror Tram with his gory gifts. The nightmarish experience runs through November 1st, and for those in Orlando, the Downtown Clowntown scare zone promises spine-tingling encounters with this festive fiend. Tickets are available now for those brave enough to face the terror.

A Very Vicious Christmas deepens the already bloody bond between Ice Nine Kills and the Terrifier universe, following the success of their track “A Work Of Art” from Terrifier 3, which stormed the charts with nearly 60 million streams. This EP is yet another layer in their relentless chase through the modern horror landscape, with the band also currently hosting the “Welcome to Horrorwood” AMC Thrills & Chills series across 300 locations nationwide.

The chilling tracklist includes twisted versions of holiday staples, featuring titles like “Carol Of The Bells” and “Dance Of The Sugar Plum Fairies.” To cap off an already electrifying year, Ice Nine Kills will join forces with other metal heavyweights for Unwrapped: An Acoustic Holiday, with performances across six cities this December. Get ready to experience the festive season like never before!
