Five Finger Death Punch Unleashes 'Legacy': A Monumental Celebration of Two Decades in Metal

Brace yourselves, metalheads! After two decades of dominating the hard rock landscape, Five Finger Death Punch has unleashed 'Legacy,' an album that the band boldly claims encapsulates their essence like never before. This sonic juggernaut arrives hot on the heels of their latest single, 'Eye Of The Storm,' which has just rocketed to become their 18th No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart. With this feat, they extend their record for the most consecutive No. 1s in the chart's storied 45-year history, solidifying their reign over the hard rock realm.

Founding guitarist Zoltan Bathory didn’t hold back when discussing the monumental significance of 'Legacy.' He declared, “This album is our loud and clear answer to the question of whether a band can stay true to the signature sound that has become the soundtrack to millions of fans’ daily lives and still write something new and exciting. Legacy is an absolute monster, an unapologetic monument to how far we’ve come.” With those words, Bathory signals that Five Finger Death Punch is far from slowing down.

But the celebration doesn’t end there. Alongside 'Legacy,' the band has also dropped the fierce track 'Nails In The Coffin.' Bathory elaborated on the lyrical depth of the song, emphasizing Ivan Moody’s ability to let listeners interpret the meaning for themselves. “To me, 'Nails In The Coffin' is about burying the things that tried to bury us,” he explained. “Every doubt, every prediction that we wouldn’t last, every catastrophe that was supposed to be the last nail in our coffin. 20 years later, we are still here and we’re the ones holding the hammer.”

The digital version of 'Legacy' is already available, with physical formats like CD, vinyl, and cassette set to drop on September 18. Fans can pre-order a variety of limited-edition formats, including clear vinyl and exclusive color pressings—perfect for the die-hard collectors out there.

As if that wasn’t enough, Five Finger Death Punch is currently igniting stages across North America on their 20th Anniversary World Tour, which not only honors their incredible journey since forming in 2005 but also showcases tracks from 'Legacy' alongside classic anthems that have defined their career. This epic tour will culminate in Bristow, VA on October 23, with special guests Cody Jinks and Eva Under Fire lighting up the venues.

In a commendable twist, the band is once again leveraging their platform for good, pledging to support U.S. military veterans and athletes as they gear up for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2028.
