The avant-metal titans delve into the depths of human struggle and transformation with a haunting new visual experience.

In a seismic eruption of sound, Blindead 23 has emerged from the ashes of their triumphant debut album, Deuterium, with a gripping new video for the standout track 'You Are The Universe'. This Polish avant-metal powerhouse, spearheaded by the illustrious ex-Behemoth guitarist Mateusz 'Havoc' Smierzchalski, features a formidable lineup that includes Roger Öjersson of Katatonia fame and the relentless Pawel 'Pavulon' Jaroszewicz, known for his blistering beats in Vltimas and his past with Vader and Decapitated.

'You Are The Universe' serves as the album's soul-stirring closure, encapsulating a powerful meditation on themes of surrender, transformation, and inner turmoil. The song's torturous dynamics, ethereal atmospheres, and raw, emotionally charged performances paint a vivid narrative of a protagonist ensnared in cycles of fear and self-destruction, ultimately arriving at a cathartic moment of acceptance. With striking imagery of machinery, drowning, and rebirth, the track delves deep into the psyche, urging listeners to confront their fractured selves and embrace the chaos of change.

As Blindead 23 articulates, this final chapter is not just about relinquishing control but about uncovering clarity amidst the maelstrom. It’s a descent into the self that reveals an undeniable truth: the battles we wage, the wars we face, and the universe itself reside within us all.

This new incarnation of Blindead 23 masterfully fuses the atmospheric sludge of their early recordings with a contemporary evolution that honors their roots while propelling forward into uncharted territories. Their visceral live performances pay homage to their past while engaging audiences with the raw power of their new material. The band’s rebirth was marked by the Vanishing EP and the compelling 7” single 'Disposed', their first offering for Peaceville Records, set to release in 2025.

Deuterium was meticulously crafted under the expert hands of producer David Castillo (Opeth, Carcass, Katatonia, Leprous) at Studio Gröndahl in Stockholm during the spring of 2023, with mixing and mastering handled by long-time ally Kuba Mańkowski. The collective arrangement of the album showcases the talents of Maciej Janas on guitars and piano, Vinicius Nunes on bass, and Stephane Azam on synths, creating a rich tapestry of sound.
