Skindred Shares New Single "Can I Get A" from Upcoming Album You Got This
Ragga-metal pioneers Skindred have released their high-energy new single, "Can I Get A," the third track from their highly anticipated ninth studio album, You Got This, scheduled for release on April 17, 2026.
The track is a blend of electro-honky-tonk, '80s pop influences—including a Phil Collins-style drum break—and the band's signature dancehall-metal sound. While the music is upbeat and infectious, the lyrics serve as a "mini-autobiography" for frontman Benji Webbe, touching on his experience growing up as an orphan in childhood poverty and the resilience required to overcome hardship.
"I want to empower people to know that you can be what you want to be," Webbe shared. "Don't spend your life worrying about what you haven't got. Live your life because now is the time."
Album & Production Details
You Got This was produced by Grammy-winner Jay Ruston (Corey Taylor, Slipknot, Mr. Bungle). The album follows the massive success of 2023’s Smile, which reached No. 2 on the UK charts and earned the band "Best Alternative Music Act" at the MOBOs.
The album is the band's first following the departure of founding bassist Dan Pugsley, who announced his exit in November 2025. The current trio consists of Benji Webbe (vocals), Mikey Demus (guitar), and Arya Goggin (drums).
