Japanese Metal Fusion Act Broken By The Scream Signs with Metal Blade Records
In a move that signals a significant expansion of their global reach, Japanese metal sensation Broken By The Scream has officially signed a worldwide deal with Metal Blade Records.
The group is renowned for their high-contrast "idol metal" style, which seamlessly blends J-pop-inspired melodic hooks with the blistering intensity of extreme metal, featuring a dual-vocal attack of guttural growls and piercing screams.
A Global Takeover in Progress
The signing comes on the heels of a massive 2025 for the band, which saw them perform on the main stage at Spain's Resurrection Fest and at Japan Expo in France. Their recent nine-date European tour across seven countries solidified their status as a rising force in the international heavy music scene.
"Broken By The Scream has been steadily carving out a unique space," Metal Blade stated in the announcement. "This marks a powerful new chapter in their career."
2026 European Festival Circuit
To celebrate the new partnership, the band has confirmed a string of major European festival appearances for the summer of 2026:
Summer Breeze Open Air (Debut performance)
Wacken Open Air
Reload Festival
Additional European tour dates are expected to be announced in the coming months as the band looks to capitalize on their growing momentum.
New Music on the Horizon
The quartet—consisting of Tsubaki Nanaougi, Shizuku Mikogami, Io Nozukidaira, and Yayoi Takayashiki—is currently in the studio developing new material. While specific release dates remain under wraps, the band is expected to continue pushing their aggressive, genre-defying sound under their new label home.
Fans can currently stream the band’s latest singles on all major platforms to get a taste of the "genre-shattering" sound that caught the attention of the legendary metal label.
