VATICAN: Ache Of Eternity By Savannah Metallic Hardcore Sect Streaming
This Friday, Sorrow Carrier Records will unveil the new EP by Savanna, Georgia-based metallic/straight edge hardcore sect, VATICAN. The entire record has been cast out early through an exclusive stream at Decibel Magazine.
VATICAN's Ache Of Eternity was recorded by Kris Hilbert at Legitimate Business (Advent, Torch Runner, Red Death, Joy) in May of 2017, mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Integrity, Nails, Xibalba) and bears art by Spencer Guerrero and photography by Nathan Fitzgerald. While some tracks meld corrosive vocals somewhere between Zao, Caliban, and Carcass, with the unhinged aggression of Martyr A.D., the barely-controlled chaos of Converge and Burnt By The Sun, the groove of Machine Head, and the bloodthirsty beatdown of One King Down, others open the heart as much as the pit, a la Poison The Well and It Dies Today.
Decibel issues, "There are a lot of influences at play on Ache Of Eternity - from the chaotic nature of Converge to the bulldozing heaviness of Zao, Martyr A.D. or Hatebreed - making the EP a satisfying listen from the rising hardcore band."
