Finntroll cancel tourdates
Finnish folk-metallers Finntroll have been forced to cancel their scheduled appearance on the No Mercy Festivals 2006 European tour set to begin in early April.
The cancellation is due to the band's lack of a permanent vocalist to replace the recently departed Tapio Wilska. A message posted on the band's official site by guitarist Routa reads as follows:
"We are more than sorry to inform that we are forced to cancel the No Mercy - Tour. We are still searching for a new vocalist and we feel that it's only fair to the fans that next shows what Finntroll will do, will be with a new line-up, not with temporary replacements.
We are at least as dissapointed as some of you for not being able to do the tour, but we'll hope that next opportunity to see you all along the road somewhere will happen really soon. Until then...Rot'n'Troll."
The tour, which also includes Cannibal Corpse, Kataklysm, and Legion of the Damned, is still scheduled to take place. The tour kicks off April 4 in Essen, Germany, and concludes April 17 in Tilburg, The Netherlands. A full list of dates is listed below.
