MÖTLEY CRÜE Unleashes 'Crücial Crüe 1981-1989' Limited-Edition Box Set
MÖTLEY CRÜE is set to ignite stages across North America this summer with their highly anticipated "The Return Of The Carnival Of Sins" tour. This marks the band's first extensive touring in two years, hitting 35 cities throughout July, August, and September, perfectly timed to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their groundbreaking 2006 "Carnival Of Sins" tour. Fans can expect an electrifying reimagined show and an updated setlist, all while supporting a noble cause—$1 from every ticket sold will be donated to ASAP! (After School Arts Program) to aid students in music and arts initiatives.
To get fans hyped for the summer tour kick-off, MÖTLEY CRÜE has announced a limited-edition picture disc box set titled "Crücial Crüe 1981-1989," set to drop via BMG on July 10. This collector's item will be available as a 5LP picture disc set, a 5CD picture disc replica set, and an ultra-limited 250-unit hand-numbered Crüeseum exclusive featuring a reverse color outer box.
This box set encapsulates the essence of MÖTLEY CRÜE's iconic first five studio albums—each a cornerstone of rock history—having collectively sold over 30 million copies across the globe. The albums include: "Too Fast For Love" (1981; platinum U.S.), "Shout At The Devil" (1983; four times platinum U.S.), "Theatre Of Pain" (1985; four times platinum U.S.), "Girls Girls Girls" (1987; four times platinum U.S.), and "Dr. Feelgood" (1989; six times platinum U.S.). These timeless tracks not only defined a generation but continue to be staples in the band's live performances, featuring hits like "Live Wire," "Too Fast For Love," "Shout At The Devil," "Looks That Kill," "Home Sweet Home," and many more.
MÖTLEY CRÜE's music remains a vital force in pop culture, finding new fans through placements in films, TV shows, video games, commercials, and sporting events worldwide. Notably, "Home Sweet Home" is prominently featured in the trailer for the upcoming film "Bus Boys," while "Kickstart My Heart" continues its reign as the official theme song for NASCAR's IndyCar race series and has energized crowds during the recent NFL Draft and current NHL playoffs.
Looking ahead, fans can anticipate the release of "Crüe 45 RPM - The Singles Collection," an ultra-limited, hand-numbered, foil-packaged series of 10-inch vinyl, available exclusively at the Crüeseum. This year also marks the 45th anniversary of MÖTLEY CRÜE's iconic debut album, "Too Fast For Love," originally released on Leathür Records in 1981.
Their 33-city tour, produced by Live Nation, kicks off on July 17, 2026, in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, at the Pavilion at Star Lake, featuring support from EXTREME and TESLA. Following the band’s Las Vegas residency, which ran from September 12 to October 3, 2025, and was delayed due to frontman Vince Neil's health issues, the CRÜE is back with a vengeance. Neil, who faced multiple strokes, continues to rally, and the band welcomes guitarist John 5, who stepped in after Mick Mars’ retirement from touring.
Despite the turmoil, including Mars filing a lawsuit over his stake in the band, MÖTLEY CRÜE perseveres, proving that their spirit is as unyielding as their music. Prepare yourselves for a summer of nostalgia, music, and the undeniable energy that is MÖTLEY CRÜE.
