Metallica has officially announced their highly anticipated residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, titled "Life Burns Faster."

The wait is finally over. Metallica has officially announced their highly anticipated residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, titled "Life Burns Faster." The legendary thrash icons will become the first-ever heavy metal band to headline the state-of-the-art immersive venue, bringing their "No Repeat Weekend" tradition to the most technologically advanced stage in the world.

The residency consists of eight shows spanning four weekends in October 2026. Following the format of their successful M72 World Tour, each weekend will feature two completely different setlists with zero repeating songs between the Thursday and Saturday performances.

"Life Burns Faster" promises to push the Sphere's immersive capabilities to their limit. Fans can expect the band's catalog to be enhanced by the venue’s 16K wraparound LED display, Sphere Immersive Sound (powered by HOLOPLOT), and multi-sensory 4D technologies, creating a "sound and fury" experience never before seen in the metal world.
"Life Burns Faster" 2026 Dates:

Weekend 1: October 1 & 3

Weekend 2: October 15 & 17

Weekend 3: October 22 & 24

Weekend 4: October 29 & 31 (Halloween Finale)
