Throwdown robbed

By Erin Fox
Thieves steal guitars from group...

Throwdown were rectently robbed in Costa Mesa, CA, approximately two weeks ago. The theives took 2 guitars and a bass guitar. The stolen items were a Washburn Idol 164W with flat black finish and vintage bronze hardware with two EMG pickups and a white To Die For sticker on the body (which was likely peeled off), a Washburn Idol 164 with red wood finish, chrome hardward and two EMG pickups with no stickers and an Ibanez Soundgear 900 bass with flat black finish and chrome hardwear with stock Ibanez pickups, no stickers.

Here's what the band had to say about the incident:

"The instruments were given to us and can be replaced easily, however, we don't like theives very much. Any info leading to the genius or geniuses that grabbed these items and left 10s of thousands of dollars in other gear behind would be greatly appreciated and handsomly rewarded. We might even just give you one of the guitars or free Throwdown shows for life or free tae kwan do lessons from Mark or something sweet.

If you have access to a guitar that fits one or more of the descriptions (even if it's in a local recycler or gear trader ad) then we could give you a serial number to check it against or could check it out ourselves with your help. We have no plans on involving the police. Thanks for any help you can give us.

Please reply only by email to Throwdown@Trustkill.com and only if you have any info. Don't feel sorry for us, we're not bummed. We love you and know you love us."
