CARNIVORE A.D., comprising bassist/vocalist Baron Misuraca, guitarist Chuck Lenihan, and drummer Joe Cangelosi, is set to release their first studio EP titled "Transmutation" on March 27, 2026, through Apostasy Records. The completed work includes the recently released lead single "Social Decomposition."
The band serves as a continuation of the original CARNIVORE's energy, paying homage to late members Peter Steele and Keith Alexander. While rooted in tribute, CARNIVORE A.D. has evolved by creating new music that reflects their personal artistic direction without overshadowing the original band's legacy.
Original drummer Louie Beateaux, who co-founded CARNIVORE A.D., compares the band to a revered restaurant where the original chef has passed away, but the recipes remain lovingly prepared by friends—symbolizing respect and continuity. The EP's tracklist features five songs, including "Transmutation" and "I Stand Alone."
Recording and mixing took place at Soundlodge with Jörg Uken overseeing production, and the artwork was designed by Simon Bossert. Over recent years, CARNIVORE A.D. has built their reputation through live performances at prominent metal festivals worldwide, such as Brutal Assault, Hellfest, and Maryland Deathfest.
