Low Twelve, thrash metal monsters from the Midwest, will be playing their last show with long-time drummer, Wes Pollock, on Saturday November 20th at the Canopy Club in Urbana Illinois. Pollock had been Low Twelve's drummer since November 1999, recording four cds and two dvds, and played in over 200 shows.

Wes Pollock recently graduated from audio engineering school and will be seeking a job in the recording industry that will likely take him out of his current home in Central Illinois. Knowing that it would disrupt his duties in Low Twelve, Wes decided to bow out and let the band move on without him. He has begun his own company called Sonic Haven Studios and will be doing drum lessons, live and studio band recording.

The first drummer that came to mind to replace Wes was long-time friend of the band, drummer Travis Waterman. Low Twelve played many shows with Travis during his time (with fellow Low Twelve guitarist Meister) in The Breed of Sedition, Human Hatemachine, Killborn, and Lowgrade.

Despite being a bass player by trade, Travis switched to drums many years ago and brings a fresh new style of play to the patented Low Twelve heavy groove-based metal sound. After a brief tryout at their practice place in Bloomington Illinois, Low Twelve decided to have Travis fill the opening and are very excited about good things to come in 2011 and beyond.

Low Twelve released their fourth CD "Splatter Pattern" to much acclaim in the metal media and will be supporting the CD in their future shows with Travis, as well as continue writing new music.

Low Twelve founder, Pete Altieri, said of the change in drummers, "while it is sad to see Wes leave after so many years behind the kit - having some new blood in the band always provides a spark. So far, from what we've seen, Travis is going to continue the proud tradition of Low Twelve for many years to come!"
