PHIL X Talks Upcoming BON JOVI And TRIUMPH Tours On SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation; Audio

Phil X shares insights on the upcoming Bon Jovi residency and the expanded Triumph tour lineup on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation.

Guitarist Phil X spoke with Eddie Trunk on SiriusXM's Trunk Nation about his participation in upcoming Bon Jovi shows as well as the Triumph tour. He highlighted the transition of Triumph from a three-piece to a larger group, detailing how additional band members will contribute more fully rather than just appearing for brief parts of the set.

Phil X explained that both Rick and Gil from Triumph are growing more comfortable with their roles and are enthusiastic about sharing the stage with more musicians to better replicate the harmonies of their recorded material. He noted that this expanded lineup allows the band to avoid relying on pre-recorded tracks, aiming instead for a high-quality live performance.

Discussing the Bon Jovi residency at Madison Square Garden, Phil X reported that Jon Bon Jovi’s voice is in strong form following previous vocal issues. The band has been rehearsing monthly and is preparing for multiple nights at the venue, with the number of scheduled shows increasing over time. Phil X mentioned the possibility of a broader world tour in 2027, explaining that current scheduling depends on arena availability and other events.

The conversation emphasized a collaborative stage dynamic in both bands, with members sharing moments and responsibilities to create a dynamic concert experience. Phil X expressed excitement about the opportunities the tours present and the mutual respect among band members.
