CULT OF LUNA - JOHANNES PERSSON DESCRIBES THE LINK BETWEEN THE ART AND SOUND OF 'ETERNAL KINGDOM'

Cult Of Luna CULT OF LUNA founder and guitarist, Johannes Persson gives fans a major treat as he gives them a taste of what is in store for them on the band's hotly anticipated 5th full-length release, ETERNAL KINGDOM.

"The world of the ETERNAL KINGDOM is harsh and hostile and that was something we felt was needed to express through the music. The turn to a harder and heavier sound was also very welcomed on our side after two albums of exploring atmospheric and meditative music."

The recently released artwork of ETERNAL KINGDOM (seen here:

also has a deep connection to the music contained within.

"The artwork is inspired by old woodcuts and it is definitely the right way of maintain and amplify the harshness of the ETERNAL KINGDOM. With the Man/Owl king in the middle, it is a perfect visual representation of how the album is going to sound."

CULT OF LUNA recently finished recording their upcoming new album, ETERNAL
KINGDOM, at Tonteknik Studios in the band's hometown of Umea. The follow-up
to 2006's SOMEWHERE ALONG THE HIGHWAY,

ETERNAL KINGDOM will be released on June 16th in Europe and July 8th in the
U.S.
