JULIE WESTLAKE, OF THE BAND HYDROGYN, GOES TO "LOCK-UP" FOR MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY
To benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Julie Westlake agrees to be arrested and bailed out
Kingwood TX, August 16th, 2007: Julie Westlake, the metal songbird of the rock band Hydrogyn, agrees to be a jailbird until she reaches or exceeds her fundraising goal for MDA. She shows her support for the cause by requesting donations from her friends and fans to "bail her out" of jail.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association is a national voluntary health agency dedicated to researching and curing over 40 neuromuscular diseases. Proceeds for the "Lock-Up" fundraiser can go towards the purchase of items such as flu shots, research, diagnostic exams, summer camp, wheelchairs and other medical devices.
Those who are interested in donating can do so by visiting Julie's MDA "Lock-Up" page at:

When Julie is not raising money for organizations such as MDA, she is the lead vocalist in the popular metal/rock band, Hydrogyn. Hydrogyn is very widely known overseas and in states near their hometown in West Virginia. Once their next overseas tour comes to a close, they will expand their schedule again to include cities all over the U.S.
Appearing at a wide variety of events to include NASCAR races, they have captured the attention of several key sponsors like Dr. Pepper, Washburn Guitars, Harley Davidson Dealerships and Randall Amps. This prestigious list of interested sponsors goes on and their interest in Hydrogyn is only the beginning. The band has caused such a buzz amongst heavies in the music industry, music producer Michael Wagener, (known for producing artists like Ozzy Osbourne, Skid Row and Alice Cooper) agreed to produce their 2005 album, Bombshell, stating, "Hydrogyn is going to be big, very big..."
