Avenged Sevenfold Win Best New Artist at MTV Music Awards

On Aug 31, Southern California rockers Avenged Sevenfold walked away with the Best New Artist MTV Music Award. "We're coming at you live from New York City with special THANK YOU to each and everyone of you that has supported us. You guys voted for this, you made this happen- CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!" stated the band.

Zacky Vengeance had the following to say "Last night I sat there praying that I might remain dignified in defeat. Instead I heard the answer of the army of a7x fans. We were the band who wasn't in the VMA limelight and wasn't on the commercials or billboards but we don't need any of that bullshit when we have each and every one of you stepping up to the plate for us in the most crucial moment. You showed the entire world... fuck that... the entire UNIVERSE that what we share cannot be stopped. You should all be proud of yourselves because I am more proud of you all then you'll ever know. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart and for the rest of you... IF YOU DON'T KNOW NOW YOU KNOW!!!!"
