CHAOS MOON return with "Eschaton Mémoire". A violent eulogy for humanity; "Eschaton Mémoire" is a dedication to the true powers of death, beckoning the end times. This album went through various forms of transformation in order to summon the old spirit of black metal (Emperor, Manes, Strid), while not simply regurgitating what has already been done. The thick atmospheres that CHAOS MOON has created since inception are still present, as they bring forth an even more violent force to focus. A.P. remains at the creative center for the band, while completing the lineup with guitarist S.B., drummer J.B., and vocalist E.B. As a collective, the aim of all efforts for this record was to create the most sinister and asphyxiating listening experience as possible; to create vicious anxiety within the listener.
"Eschaton Mémoire" is apocalyptic splendor from the most malevolent point of view. A recollection of the end, from the first banished name spoken to the final drop of heavenly blood drained into the maw of Hel. Each minute draws ultimate finality closer. While this LP delivers a fatal blow, it merely serves as a beginning; the universal vicissitude towards death's majesty. May the mists of Niflheim shroud forever more!
