Cessation Of Life in New York
The news is out! Cessation Of Life has contracted with Foley Entertainment to start a college radio campaign and shop record companies. This is huge because for the first time Cessation Of Life will try to chart on the CMJ college charts. This is a very important step in the advancement toward a record company. This band already has longevity with 9 years behind us. We've completed 5 U.S. tours and turned out 3 full length CD's. Now it's time to start getting into the business end of things.
I feel that Cessation Of Life and Foley Entertainment are a great match. Foley Entertainment is a very connected company and they proposed the same business plan that we already had in place, but on a much larger scale. It was basically a no-brainer to go with them. Of all the companies that approached us and we scrutinized, no one has come across with a level headed business model except Foley Entertainment. All other companies just made promises but didn't have a plan to get there. Cessation Of Life knew what we wanted to do and knew what it was going to take to get there. This should be a very successful college radio campaign. Keep your radios tuned in and catch some Cessation Of Life!
Also in conjunction with Foley Entertainment, Cessation Of Life will begin laying down tracks for their 4th anticipated CD in late February. Foley Entertainment has paired up John Seymour, a Grammy winning producer and Cessation Of Life. All of us in Cessation Of Life are really looking forward to the opportunity to work with John Seymour and take advantage of his skills and experience. John is not new to recording metal, which is exactly what Cessation Of Life was looking for. We wanted someone who understands the angst of metal and the aggressive attack of speed metal. John Seymour filled these shoes and then some. Check often for more info on the progress of the recording process. This will be kept up to date for all you fans.
Cessation Of Life also has another big announcement to make. Cessation Of Life has gladly accepted an offer from Gary Kramer Guitars to debut some new guitars. Gary Kramer was the owner of the world famous Kramer Guitars.... you know, the guitars that Eddie Van Halen played. Gary Kramer Guitars is starting it up again and this time they are pushing the envelope with craftsmanship and quality. The guitar that is currently in the build process is rumored to be around $10,000. Yes, that's 4 zero's after that number one. I for one am excited to see a guitar that has cost that much money to build and am very pleased that Gary Kramer has asked me to debut such a a piece of artwork.
Don't worry you will still see me playing my ESP Guitars on a regular basis. These guitars are my favorite, and the quality to withstand the punishment that Cessation Of Life puts them through is amazing. The tone that makes Cessation Of Life comes from the ESP Guitars that I play. I and Cessation Of Life always extend a very big "Thank You" to the great people at ESP Guitars who have stood behind myself and Cessation Of Life. Through ESP Guitars we've been able to bring you killer sounding riffs and also raffle off guitars to fans across the country. I have my eye on a few more new guitars from ESP and am in the process of getting them built. When I have them, I will get pictures posted on this website. I know lots of people put their faith in ESP Guitars as much as I do... you just can't go wrong with them. Check out their website for a full listing of their guitars. www.espguitars.com
