SWEDISH ROCKERS WITCHCRAFT AND RISE ABOVE RECORD's LEE DORIAN TO GUEST ON SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO
White hot Swedish rock band WITCHCRAFT will appear as special guests on Sirius Satellite Radio and its "Hard Attack" channel (Sirius 27). The fast-rising quartet, who's retro-cool sound has been described as "timeless" and one that "Metalheads, indie fans, and music teachers alike could unite around," will join Sirius host Ian Christe to discuss its critically acclaimed new album, The Alchemist. The special interview with WITCHCRAFT will broadcast today at 3:00 PM EST and will rebroadcast on Sunday, November 18 at 12:00 PM EST.
Joining the members of WITCHCRAFT in its chat with Christe is Lee Dorrian, owner of London, England based independent record label Rise Above Records (WITCHCRAFT's label home) and frontman of the band Cathedral. Don't miss out as the Scandinavian legends-in-making and the legendary front man convene on the Sirius coven for a séance of all things dark and doomy.
WITCHCRAFT is in the midst of a sold-out U.S. headlining tour. The cross-country trek kicked off in NYC this past October, where the band's live performances met to shining response by an array of New York's most respected media. Recorded 100% pro-tools and digital free using only vintage amplification, WITCHCRAFT's The Alchemist has been hailed as "a masterpiece". The record's smashing new tracks "Walk Between the Lines" and "Hey Doctor" have been posted online at: http://www.myspace.com/witchcraftswe Written in a hotel room in Seattle during the fall of 2006, the album's lead track "Walk Between the Lines" evokes the spirit of the many early seventies British bands which have colored the WITCHCRAFT sound.
