Dutch rockers AFTER FOREVER launch maiden tour of North America
Fresh off a European tour and eager to support their Nuclear Blast self-titled debut album released on September 25th, Dutch rockers AFTER FOREVER will begin their first-ever tour of North America with a headlining performance at this year's ProgPower VIII festival in Atlanta, Georgia on October 6th and will play through October 21st with 13 shows throughout the East Coast, the southwestern U.S., and Canada.
Sander Gommans, founding member, lead guitarist, and main composer for AFTER FOREVER had this to say about the upcoming tour:
"Now it's time to say goodbye to all of my He-Man figures and hit the road. It will be an emotional goodbye [laughter]. This tour means a very heavy schedule for us… a lot of computer game contests on the bus! Since AFTER FOREVER is only doing a limited number of shows, I know not all of our fans will be able to come out and see us, so I'll take my camera and laptop with me and try to stay in touch with everyone through our My Space site. To those fans who can make it out, see you on tour!"
Named after a Black Sabbath song from the Master Of Reality album and graced with the powerful, rock-infused voice and dynamic stage presence of lead singer Floor Jansen, AFTER FOREVER's sound can best be described as a symphonic synthesis of melodic metal with energy-driven rock. Look for the band's exclusive features in the upcoming issues of Metal Maniacs and Metal Edge magazines.
