I was once a spaceman

Lost in space

I came down to planet Earth

From the 51st State

My wife and kids don’t know me

I left them all behind

But life on Earth is lonely

Breathing in and breathing out

Messed up equilibrium

Killing time at the lakeside

Waiting for the acid rain to come

What an idle alien

Still haven’t got it down

This rocket old and rusted

With a jammed ray gun

No one round to help out

I’m down here in disguise

Found a mustang tied up in a field

I’ll take it for a ride

Ripping up and ripping out

Keep one eye on everything else

Wait till central control hears

The vision I’ve had out here

What’s that, over the way?

Looks like a version of me
