Desolate Sands Lyrics

Album: Absence

Radiative winds evoke a subitive awakening

The red observer greets me on a crystalline mat of erosion

Bewildered - I stand here alone

As an absolute sense of timelessness overcomes me gazing far and wide across the bleak, lifeless, crimson horizon up ahead

I am witness to the final chapter of epochs of degeneracy - A prologue to oblivion…

These plains once held vigour and beauty

Now nothing more but mere sand and dust

Green elysian fields that so once bloomed have befallen with perpetual gloom

The flower that once blossomed Is now wilted, dried, dead

Taken like dust in the wind

The writhing of the tectonics ceased so long ago

Reconciled to be eaten by a starving sun

With tearful eyes I look up towards a shattered sky

A gaping, bleeding, cosmic maw

Colours incomprehensible flashing by

Cruel universal indifference

Exist still to contemplate ‘why?’

Why?

Trapped in an arid current of hurt and despair

Involuntary solitude

Descending through the dreadful maelstrom of loneliness

In silence - suffering

Drifting in ethereal anguish

There is no semblance - No remembrance of vitality

Only the dawning reality of fickle impermanence

With the reality of fickle impermanence I roam these dunes

These dunes which stretch lonesome

These dunes stretch lonesome

Cruel universal indifference

Exist still to contemplate ‘why?’

Immerse yourself into the age of oblivion (Drowning in gold)

Cycles of cold, black stillness - perennial (Reminisce of the green of old)

Recurrent throughout the vast universe (Significant echoes)

The scale's tipped back into balance (To which I hold on to)

Find peace in annihilation (Diverse delirium)

To return into infinity tranquil (Purposeful presence)

No need to dread the inevitable (Whilst fleeting, the dream persists)

Surrender to harmonic equilibrium (And I exalt, exonerate exuberant excellence)

So I still wander

These desolate sands in search of a sign of life

A breath, a heartbeat will even suffice this seemingly futile voyage destined for naught

Deserted all hope

An effigy of civilizations long gone

Proclaims this lost world of

ABSENCE

ABSENCE

ABSENCE

ABSENCE WITHIN DESOLATE SANDS
