In the final hour of day

Wish I could have stayed

Losing sight

Run into a dying sun

The hunt has made me numb

Look at me

Did I ever really see

Losing time while precious moments pass

Endless night

I’m a void of stolen dreams

Skies I'll never reach

Fading flame

Smothered by internal rain

The Phoenix finally slain

Endless night

Twilight beckons I give in

And walk toward the dark in shame

Voices urging me to chase illusive dreams

Don't you see – there's nothing else

I could go so far

Soar in stellar skies

Once I live to serve this darkened star

I departed in belief of imaginary lies

I forgot my name and went astray

So I'd escape the pain

And so I fell into another kind of midnight sun

It turns out I forged a life of emptiness

I can see my fervent dreams were colored in pale and fading grey

(The pain remained – escaped in vain)

Fading in cold light still at a loss

Voices urging me to chase illusive dreams

Soar in stellar skies

Wearing shadows to end the silent cries

Phoenix dies – never to rise

Leave my inner war

Run with blinded eyes

Lest I learn what lies beyond dark suns
