We followed starlight back like a thread
To the cradle where our history was penned
To the planet below, unscarred by men
To walk the soil where we once had been
What was destroyed has been remade
But not for us, our ties have been erased
And now we stand as strangers at the gate
A home remade yet we are out of place
Seas of azure blaze with morning light
Vast horizons gleam, impossibly bright
Forests murmur through emerald veins
The pulse of Earth now beats again
We begged the stars for one true thing:
"Return us to where our ancestors sang."
Now the soil whispers in a voice too wise:
"You grieve for a world that forgot to die."
Mountains shaped by hands unknown
Through crystal peaks gentle winds blow
Golden deserts blaze in the sun
New life blooms, skies and sea, breathe as one
This soil rejects the ghosts that we became
A paradise that cost us everything
We see its light, we feel its flame
But nothing here will ever call our name
What was destroyed has been remade
But not for us, our ties have been erased
And now we stand as strangers at the gate
A home remade, yet we are out of place
How can we weep for a glorious birth?
When hands unknown have forged a new Earth
We stand estranged, caught in between
Dazzled by new life but mourning our dreams
