The silence here is deafening
Within shelves of stone
The crumbling echoes on
The thirst inside is wearying
Just the quick match lights
The darkness that fell by
I can hear outside this grave
The calling of my name in waves
Distant, dull like light through mist
The fragments of the life I’ll miss
I can feel outside this cave
The warming rays of sun
On my skin that’s dry by torture worn
The despair that just has been born
Overcome the day
Let now come what may
Here in darkened dreams
The calm that keeps me here
Let life have its way
Without a part I play
Wake the sleeping ghost
That will guide my final ride
I don’t know how time has passed
Caught in circles here
Of reverend melodies
Let them surrender futile hopes
I feel secure
I this stony womb
