In a Box and a Shallow Grave Lyrics

I wake up again… darker still and feeling ill. Confined and come to find I’ve not yet been killed. The air is thin, tied up to my chin, what a cruel experience this has been. Is this a coffin and who crammed me in here? A suffocation fear. Oh, what a nightmare! What a death to bear, I’ll run out of air, with no one to hear my prayer. Who will hear my prayer… and, is anyone even there? No, I don’t think so. First I was taken, maybe mistaken, tied up and poisoned, soon to awaken again… and certainly forsaken! I had such plans, as a husband and man, to take on the world with hope in my hand. Oh, such plans, as a man, to take on the world with hope in my hand… oh, but now in a box, I’ll rot! A limited amount of air and time, I’ve got. Who creates such terrible plots? I cannot connect the dots. Left in a box to rot, I cannot connect the dots. Left in a box to rot. In a box I will rot! Left in a box to rot.
