Minotaur Lyrics

We wander these ancient corridors

 Abandoned since its conception

A dank musk fills the air

 Walk on powdered bones

 Crushed under the hooves

 Of the beast

 A giant abomination

Born of the gods of the second age

His club, once the great tree of life,

Now a weapon of absolute death

 A corrupt gem embedded

 by the Old Ones

 Birthed the Minotaur

Of its fruit the rotten hearts of men

Enticed by the potential encouraged their doom

 Elation turned to fear

 As it grew

It fed on acts of death

The tree that cradled the calf

 Uprooted as a terrible club

The land dried and soon died

As the appetite of the beast grew

The walls once meant to protect

 Now act to imprison

 Like a spiders web

 The beast feels all

As we break through the rubble

 And challenge the demon

 with a suicide call

 To reclaim the gem

And bind him to our will

 For not blade nor arrow

 can pierce its flesh

But it's not its demise we cherish

To bend and break its will

 In our servitude

 Add it amongst our

 summoning brood

 The creature comes

 Into our circle we enchant

 An invisible wall

 it cannot break

 As we dismantle its club

 Stake by stake
