I wander in silence The darkness surrounds all but my torch As I search for another My stomach is in horrible pain If I walk down this last tunnel, That the smell is coming from: Will I find another? Will I find my way out? I hear screaming... wait, it's crying And it's female She's dying, but she'll make me feel alive again She reminds me of that one from not long ago; Young. Not badly burned But she doesn't want to My mouth is dry, and her flesh is moist The stone is distracting, with its cold Just when I feel it coming She reminds me too much of the other Perhaps it's her? My eyes never so open, through the darkest of black I see That girl from my lair... lies face down in front of me How did she survive the war? My vision is now not so clear, and the screaming is confusing me I look at her, and tell her to stop But her mouth is already closed It's a child! It is male. The girl has bled to death. The tunnel has a light at its end. I see it. I approach it. The world is black. The snow is black. I am dying. Can't move. I should have killed my son.
