I don’t understand the word humanity

What is its meaning if we can’t look each other in the eye?

I feel destined to become more jaded over time

Corrupted outlook

Ever growing population

Crowd thickens as empathy burns away

Emotions nonexistent, happiness just a memory

What’s become of us?

Disconnected

Disconnected

I feel severed

Hatred will kill us all

Fire against fire just greatens the divide

You’re supposed to be my reflection

But I don’t see myself in you

Trying to change the world with your eyes closed

You try to speak but all I hear is hatred

Ignorance

We were born with a hole in our heart

We evolved into this machine

Superior intelligence, zero remorse

How can we call ourselves human?

I’ve never felt so empty stood in the midst of this great divide
