Between a lie and a story untold

I find myself losing grip on reality.

It's so strange feeling out of place,

stuck inside a dream with no awake.

Lost in a maze where the days passed me by

without a sign, like they have never been.

My heart's bleak as my memory

and every night they're haunting me.

Those faces before me...

I can't hide from their stares,

from the cables and needles.

And while I breathe in silence

a clouded dream's arising,

dragged down along the trails

of a spoon-fed reality.

I felt something creep inside me

and the rainbow just bled to grey,

then memories embraced the haze...

Before my eyes all the visions reel,

a voice in my mind keeps me here, I can't run away

from the grip of a dreamless sleep:

is it where my fate was meant to lead?

Another me looking back from the glass,

can't find the words to explain how I'm feeling.

Got no way to blink the tears away,

they keep running through my face.

So deep in these nightmares,

I can't hide away.

Eyes ease open to darkness...
