Heat is rising, we cause so much pain

We’re treating the earth as we treat each other

So now I call for Klaatu

But it’s only us that can change our nature

When the trees are fallen and the animals gone

Rivers dry and deserts go on and on

We need to keep check of our own delusions of immunity

The fires burn and the smoke fills the air

Ash is falling on a land stripped bare

And we sit back in our indifference and later cry unfair
