I gleam

It feels as though death has overtaken me

Wearily, it rests upon

All I’ve done

All I’ll ever be

Yet I remain

Soaring higher, eager

Amidst its deep gills of oblivion

Besides callous mountains

And their pure and holy rivers, adjacently

Cloaked by the night sky

That presses upon us

Spreading its darkened wings

Transforming everything and everyone here
